Business Data Analyst

As our eCommerce Business Data Analyst you will report to the Chief Marketing Officer and utilize analytics to assess consumer acquisition programs and investments, behavior, make website enhancements and drive growth across our business. You will measure sales and site performance on a daily basis and interface with marketing, creative, merchandising and IT teams to report and resolve site issues. You will track, report, and analyze all marketing programs and initiatives to measure CPA, ROI, ROAS and LCV. You will utilize A/B testing to consult with stakeholders, set-up tests, and report out on findings to make educated and calculated changes to the website SEO, pricing and merchandising, digital marketing and promotional campaigns.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and own all analytics/reporting across all platforms
• Create daily dashboards and weekly/monthly reporting
• Develop analyses that lead to actionable insights that accelerate profitable growth and marketing spend
• Ability to comprehend, extract, and massage necessary information for ad-hoc reporting on key brand campaign initiatives and direct mail campaigns
• Ensure data quality by testing tracking on site metrics are properly captured and reported correctly
• Provide reporting to assist eCommerce team with inventory planning and management to keep inventory levels in-line with revenue forecasting and consumer demand
• Continually seek ways to drive sales and implement strategies to improve overall marketing productivity and profitability
• Utilize selling and Google analytics to identify opportunities to improve conversion, product page view, cross-sell and add to cart rates, all to drive incremental sales
• Conduct regular competitor analysis to make recommendations
• Manage customer loyalty program to ensure profitability and maximize LCV
• Monitor and optimize campaigns for response rates, website conversions, multi-touch attribution, incremental sales revenue, and ROAS
• Review and adjust tagging and data layers, as necessary on site
• Complete iterative customer deep dives, resulting in segmentation, CLV calculations, and retention analyses
• Monitor and deploy the latest digital analytics tactics and methods
• Build and maintain company analytical toolset

Qualifications:
• Ability to take direction and work autonomously
• Ability to articulate and rationalize fresh ideas
• Ability to balance several projects at once
• Thrives on challenging assumptions with data
• Extensive knowledge of web/digital marketing tactics (e.g. web, e-mail, SEM), data that can be derived from them
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with marketing, creative, merchandising, operations, IT and customer service teams
• Talent for distilling insights from sometimes disparate pools of data, then effectively communicating audience-appropriate messages to various stakeholders including senior management
• Ability to partner with IT and effectively communicate in technical terms
• Knowledge of basic coding a plus
• Experience with A/B Testing
• Experience with Magento and Shopify
• BA/BS with strong academic record, ideally in Economics, a quantitative social science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics etc.
• 1-2 years of experience in a retail e-Commerce environment with a focus on digital analytics, technology, and reporting
• Google Analytics IQ certification
• Google AdWords certification and expert-level user of Bing Ads
• Google Tag Manager certification and/or expert-level GTM user
• Familiarity with marketing automation platforms
• Proficiency with statistical methods
• Proven track record of conversion rate optimization
• Expert-level Excel user
• Experience with ecommerce platforms (ideally Shopify and/or Magento, plus if in fashion).
• Experience working with SEO research/audit platforms
